VOD Everywhere - the name says it all

The European satellite company SES S.A. presents its new video on demand platform "VOD Everywhere" at the IBC 2017 in Amsterdam.

On-demand video services such as Netflix and cable operators' OTT offerings are constantly expanding their platforms and attracting more and more viewers. It's no wonder that more and more consumers are looking for such services in areas where broadband Internet access is not yet available.

VOD Everywhere is the answer to this growing market demand. The video platform delivers video content via satellite in best Direct-to-home (DTH) quality - without the need for an Internet connection.

The coeno team has conceived and designed the user interface for this new platform. Our UI concept takes into account the special features of this solution without internet connection. The design of the user interface presents itself modern and tailor-made by generously focusing on the film offer with attractive layouts. In addition, we placed great emphasis on an optimal user experience by perfectly tailoring established navigation paradigms to our solution.

Also on the detail page the films are advertised with a lot of information without appearing overloaded.
The video player discreetly positions itself at the bottom of the screen to make the largest possible part of the scene visible.

"Due to our decades of experience, the requirements and special features of a UI played out via satellite were not new to us. So we very quickly developed an optimal solution together with SES and TARA Systems that fully meets my design requirements for a good on-demand video platform," says Ralf Kienzler, the UI designer responsible for VOD Everywhere.

It's worth seeing: during the IBC from 15 to 19 September 2017, Hall 1, Stand B51.
